This course aims to study the meaning, significance, and development of comparative politics and government. To achieve that aim, the course will shed light on contemporary critical issues such as a comparative study of structures, processes and functions of political systems in various countries; a comparative study of the state and the nation building; institutional design; factors of stability and decay of a democratic regime; political culture; revolutions; social movements; human rights; terrorism; and consequences of globalization.
