รายวิชานี้ศึกษาหลักสำคัญพื้นฐานเกี่ยวกับการสื่อข่าว แนวคิดเกี่ยวกับข่าว คุณค่าข่าว แหล่งข่าว การเขียนข่าว และการรายงานข่าวเชิงบูรณาการ โดยเน้นฝึกการรายงานข่าวให้สอดคล้องกับเทคโนโลยีสื่อสมัยใหม่บนพื้นฐานของหลักจริยธรรมและความรับผิดชอบต่อสังคม โดยทักษะที่นักศึกษาจะได้รับการเรียนรู้ในรายวิชา ได้แก่ การค้นคว้า การเก็บข้อมูลภาคสนาม การสังเกต การสัมภาษณ์ การเขียนข่าว ตลอดจนการรายงานข่าวเพื่อนำเสนอผ่านสื่อสารมวลชน

This course aims to study fundamental of news; the concept of news, news elements, news values and sources access; integration news writing and reporting. Practice focus on news reporting in accordance with the new media technologies on the ethics and responsibility. The skills learning of the course include field data collection, observation, interview, writing and coverage offered through media.
