สำนักวิชาเทคโนโลยีการเกษตรและอุตสาหกรรมอาหาร

1. Course Description

This course emphasizes on physiology and response of plants under water, light, temperature and wind stresses. Trends and the future of biotechnology and environmental stress are also discussed.

2. Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs)

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. CLO 1: Explain and analyze the fundamental processes of plant growth and development at the cellular and tissue levels, from seed germination and cell division to organogenesis.
  2. CLO 2: Identify and evaluate the roles of major plant hormones and other growth regulators in controlling growth and developmental mechanisms at each stage, including their interactions.
  3. CLO 3: Analyze and explain signal perception and adaptation mechanisms of plants in response to environmental stress.
  4. CLO 4: Apply knowledge of plant growth to plan and provide recommendations for crop management, the use of plant growth regulators, and environmental management to enhance agricultural yield and quality.
  5. CLO 5: Analyze and evaluate the role of modern biotechnology—such as marker-assisted breeding, tissue culture, and genetically modified crops—on the regulation of plant growth and development in an agricultural context.
  6. CLO 6: Retrieve academic data related to plant growth from diverse sources and effectively present the acquired knowledge both in written reports and oral presentations.
