This course aims to equip students with basic Thai conversations. It focuses on daily life topics such as telling times, days, months, years, seasons, foods, buying and selling, asking for directions, clothing and other topics relating to students’ real life activities. The lessons include reading and writing according to Thai phonological system. The students will read and write Thai consonants, vowel and tones. In addition, they will study word formation, vocabulary and sentence construction for basic writing and conversation, telling short stories, sharing knowledge and summarizing main ideas from reading and listening assignments, giving opinions and conducting academic presentations.
