This course examines the various and current political regimes of ASEAN countries. The subject reviews political developments since the Second World War so as to aid in the discussion of prominent political issues of the region, including nation-building, democratization, socialism, authoritarianism, political parties, and elections, as well as the movements of political forces such as religious organizations and conservative groups.
