This course aims for students to study the principles and processes of planning in tourism development; potential assessment of tourist destinations; development of resources in different types of tourist destinations; infrastructures and basic indicator for community-based and regional tourism planning; determination of carrying capacity of destinations; roles and cooperation of governmental and private organizations in tourism destination development; problems and problem solving on tourist destination planning and development; and includes an educational field-work.
