This course is designed to introduce and reinforce the essential mathematical and statistical concepts needed to understand, analyze, and solve mathematical and statistical problems related to business. Topics covered include basic algebra, limits, continuity and derivatives of polynomial functions. This course also covers the collection, description, analysis, interpretation, and presentation of data, including measures of central tendency and dispersion, probability distributions, the central limit theorem, sampling, and estimation. In addition, hypothesis testing, analysis of variance, regression and correlation analysis are introduced.
