การเรียนการสอนรายวิชานี้มุ่งเน้นให้นักศึกษาได้เข้าใจแนวคิดทางคณิตศาสตร์ที่สำคัญ และสามารถนำความรู้ดังกล่าวไปวิเคราะห์และประยุกต์ใช้ในการแก้ปัญหาในสาขาวิทยาศาสตร์ วิศวกรรมศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี หรือใช้เป็นความรู้พื้นฐานในการศึกษารายวิชาที่สูงขึ้นได้ นักศึกษาจะได้ศึกษารายละเอียดในหัวข้อทางคณิตศาสตร์ซึ่งประกอบด้วย ระบบสมการเชิงเส้น พีชคณิตเมทริกซ์ ตัวกำหนด ปริภูมิเวกเตอร์ การแปลงเชิงเส้น เมทริกซ์ของการแปลงเชิงเส้น ค่าเจาะจงและเวกเตอร์เจาะจง และการประยุกต์ของพีชคณิตเชิงเส้น

This course is intended to provide the student essential mathematical concepts needed to analyze, and solve mathemetical problems subjected to science, engineering and technology as well as able to apply the concepts to upper level courses. Students will learn a broad range of mathematical topics, including, systems of linear equations, matrix algebra, determinants, vector spaces, linear transformations, matrix transformations, eigenvalues and eigenvectors, and applications of linear algebra.
