This course introduces principles of animal nutrition, comparative animal gastrointestinal tracts, nutrients classification, feedstuffs, determination of feed and nutrient utilization, determination of animal nutrient requirement, factors affecting feed consumption, inhibitory factors in feedstuffs, feeding standard and productivity, feed formulation concept, feed preparation and processing, feed quality control and feed proximate analysis.
