This course aims for students to explain the meaning, concepts and importance of logistics and supply chain management in the tourism and hospitality industry. Students will learn how logistics activities have played essential roles, how to analyze the components of logistics management, and how to search academic articles for discussions in the tourism and hospitality industry through case studies and field studies.

THM65-313 Front Office Operations and Management

รายวิชานี้มุ่งให้ศึกษากระบวนการและขั้นตอนในงานบริการส่วนหน้าของโรงแรม ตั้งแต่การจองห้องพัก การลงทะเบียน การให้บริการระหว่างเข้าพัก การจัดการบัญชีห้องพัก และการคืนห้องพัก พร้อมระบบการจัดการที่พัก โดยมุ่งเน้นให้เรียนรู้ผ่านการวิเคราะห์และประยุกต์ใช้ความรู้ในการจัดการปัญหาและผู้เข้าพัก ภายใต้ความสอดคล้องกับคุณสมบัติบุคลากรด้านการท่องเที่ยวอาเซียน และการศึกษาภาคสนาม
This course is designed for students to study the operations of hotel’s front-office procedures and sequences of services in guest cycle: reservations, guest registration, occupancy services, guest accounting, and checking-out; and the property management system. This course focuses on students’ learning using theoretical analysis, applicable management techniques in solving guests’ problems as specifically required for ASEAN Tourism Professional qualifications; and field studies.

วิชานี้มุ่งเน้นให้นักศึกษาประยุกต์ใช้ความรู้ด้านโลจิสติกส์เพื่อการขนส่งและการบริการท่องเที่ยวสำหรับอุตสาหกรรมท่องเที่ยว การลำเลียงพัสดุและบรรจุภัณฑ์ การประกันภัยในการขนส่ง กฎหมายและระเบียบที่เกี่ยวข้องในโลจิสติกส์ การวางแผนเพื่อรองรับอุปสงค์การท่องเที่ยว ระบบเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศ และการดำเนินงานที่เกี่ยวข้องกับโลจิสติกส์การท่องเที่ยว
This course aim for students to apply knowledge on logistics for transferring and servicing in tourism industry; transportation of parcels and packages; transportation insurance; laws and related regulations in logistics, planning for accommodating tourism demands; information technology system; and operations related on logistics in tourism.

This course studies on components of aviation business, airline business and airport organizational structure, airline business and airport services, airline in-flight and ground services, and airport operation; a field-trip study.
