This course focuses on study and development of questioning, reasoning and argumentation using principles of laws and ethics, principle of critical thinking and principle of holistic care.

General objectives: Questioning, reasoning and argumentation using principles of laws and ethics, principle of critical thinking, principle of holistic care and basic knowledge of human structure, function, growth and development.

Behavioral objectives: At the end of the course, students are able to:

1.       Describe the principles of humanistic medicine and holistic care.

2.       Describe the process of cognitive development in human

3.       Apply the knowledge of critical thinking for questioning about the management of the different patients by using laws, medical ethics, humanistic care and holistic medicine.

4.       Apply the knowledge of critical thinking for reasoning about the management of the different patients by using laws, medical ethics, humanistic care and holistic medicine.

5.       Apply the knowledge of critical thinking for hypothesis and test about the management of the different patients by using laws, medical ethics, humanistic care and holistic medicine.

6.       Work as a team with responsibility to search for the evidence-based data from various resources for analyzing, discussing, synthesizing, and applying the knowledge in medical problem solving.  

7.       Analyze the common ethical issue related to medical practice and know how to solve the problem ethically.

8.       Understand the self and the other behaviors in depth such as thought, feeling, expectation, need, value and spirit.

9.       Transform thought, feeling, value and spirit to become good medical student and become humanized doctor.
